Staecnon hosts the 11th Annual Meeting of Retirees

Of the numerous initiatives undertaken by the Sanitation Workers Union – Staecnon-RJ, one of the most significant is the annual meeting of retired members. This year, the union leadership held the 11th meeting with the theme: "The day is one of joy," a sentiment reflected in the faces of the dozens of people who attended. The event took place on Tuesday afternoon, November 8th, in the union's party hall.

This is not just an event; it's a reunion of people who have spent a lifetime together, laughing, working, teaching, and learning from one another. Seeing work colleagues again each year is like reaffirming that life allows us to share various kinds of experiences, leading us to the place where everything begins again, bringing back memories, with the certainty that every moment of life is precious.

What we called a get-together was actually a lovely party, and as such, a variety of snacks, juices, soft drinks, and a delicious layered cake were served. Not to mention the gifts that were raffled off, which were notable for the diversity of prizes, including household appliances and utensils.

The event was attended by President João Marcos, who couldn't hide his happiness at being among so many masters, people who led public sanitation, serving CEDAE for decades. "Being among them makes me feel that I must value our associates even more, making them realize their true importance to the company and to society," said João Marcos.

It is worth highlighting the participation of the Cedae Employees' Assistance Fund – CAC, which, in partnership with the union, offered health care services, where nurse Tassia de Azeredo, through Nursing Care, attended to those present with dedication and professionalism, measuring blood pressure, performing blood glucose tests, and providing guidance on a wide range of issues.

The organization of the meeting was the responsibility of directors Tânia Nolasco and Mônica Barreto, and staff members Rose Nolasco, Enockes Cavalar, and Danilo Barreto.
