Unions form committee to plan demonstration at ALERJ (Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly).
Representatives from the unions that defend sanitation workers in the State of Rio de Janeiro, through the institutions: Staecnon, Stipdaenit, Sintsama, Sinaerj, Seng-RJ and Aseac, met this Thursday, November 17th, through a commission, in order to define the actions for the event that will be held on November 22nd, in front of ALERJ (Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro).
The union between institutions has yielded considerable victories against those in favor of privatization, where through collective meetings, unified letters, large-scale demonstrations, and closer ties with the community, partnerships have been forged that have made a difference in the struggles.
On November 22nd, we will once again demonstrate the strength of our category with a significant representation in front of ALERJ (Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro), where we will defend PEC 37/16, presented by Deputy Paulo Ramos, which guarantees Cedae's public status, preserving the company's shares and granting it immunity against privatization.
Staecnon is mobilizing hundreds of workers from across the state, representing various municipalities affiliated with the union, to join their fellow workers in this latest struggle.
