STAECNON-RJ DEMANDS SPEED AND PROGRESS IN THE RIO+SANEAMENTO AGREEMENT

The STAECNON-RJ union informs all Rio+ Saneamento workers that it remains steadfast in its fight to unblock negotiations for the Collective Bargaining Agreement and ensure the maintenance of the agreement, further progress, and the due adjustment to the category's financial and salary benefits.

Unfortunately, as in previous years, the concessionaire has adopted a delaying tactic, ignoring the repeated requests for expedited action made by the signatory trade unions.

HISTORY OF THE NEGOTIATION
* May 22 : The list of demands, duly approved by the workers in assembly, was delivered to the company.
* June 17th : In the absence of a response from the concessionaire, the unions formalized their first request for a meeting.
* August 7 (75 days later) : After more than two months of silence, the company finally scheduled a meeting. However, the meeting was reduced to the announcement of mass layoffs of approximately 460 workers—more than 100 of them in Rio das Ostras alone. The unions took legal action to reverse the layoffs and obtained an initial victory, but the decision was temporarily overturned by an injunction.
* Repeated requests : With no concrete progress on the agenda, new formal meeting requests were sent on August 5th and October 8th.
* Presentation of new law firm : When the dealership representatives finally agreed to meet, the meeting was limited to the presentation of the new law firm hired by the company and a preliminary discussion of a few clauses.

RECENT ACTIONS AND NEXT STEPS
The unions continue to work tirelessly to guarantee the rights of the working class. This Monday, October 19th, another request for a meeting with the concessionaire was formalized.

STAECNON-RJ reiterates its commitment to transparency and will keep the category informed about every development in the negotiations.

The unity and mobilization of workers remain fundamental!
