BRK Macaé workers approve the proposed collective bargaining agreement.
This Friday (August 21st), STAECNON-RJ held an Extraordinary General Assembly with BRK Ambiental Macaé workers to present, deliberate on, and vote on the company's proposal regarding the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) 2026/2027.
The voting took place in person, using fixed and mobile ballot boxes distributed throughout the company's units, under the guidance and supervision of union directors Marcos Aurélio and Luidi Boquimpani, with the counting taking place at the end of the morning at the Centro Commercial Store. After intense rounds of negotiations led by the union leadership, the final proposal offered by the company was approved by the majority of workers.
During the assembly, the president of STAECNON-RJ, Josemar Violante Cordeiro, highlighted the organization's commitment to conducting the negotiations. "The approved proposal does not represent the ideal scenario the union sought, as our goal is always to achieve the greatest possible progress for the category. However, we sovereignly respect the decision of the majority of workers expressed at the polls. The close result sends a clear message that much greater attention is needed to the demands and real needs of the workers in future negotiations," emphasized the president.
As an important outcome of the negotiations, the creation of a joint committee was defined, composed of representatives from the union and the company. The committee's objective will be to continue discussions and monitor essential issues for workers throughout the term of the agreement.
STAECNON-RJ reaffirms its commitment to remain steadfast in monitoring compliance with the agreed clauses and in constantly defending the rights of the entire category.
