DIEESE: 77% of salary adjustments in April were above inflation.
Approximately 77% of 90 adjustments related to April, registered in the Mediator system up to May 6th, resulted in real wage gains compared to the INPC-IBGE (National Consumer Price Index - IBGE). This percentage represents a decrease compared to the first quarter of 2024, when more than 85% of the analyzed results were above inflation.
On the other hand, only 1.1% of April's negotiations had adjustments below the INPC (National Consumer Price Index), the lowest percentage since December 2022. This means that the decline in real gains occurred due to the growth in the number of results with percentages equal to the inflation index.
