Workers from the Interior Maintenance Consortium join the Union in the fight for their rights.
This Monday morning (02/03) was marked by a show of strength and organization by the workers of the Interior Maintenance Consortium, a service provider for CEDAE. Under the leadership of the STAECNON-RJ union, the workers met in a strategic assembly to align the defense of their labor rights and guarantees.
The mobilization was coordinated to cover the entire area of operation of the consortium, with the direct presence of the union leadership at the grassroots level. In Macaé, the assembly was personally led by the president of STAECNON-RJ, Josemar Violante, accompanied by director Luidi Boquimpani. In Itaperuna, the in-person leadership was handled by director José Guilherme. Simultaneously, directors Fernando Soares and Marco Aurélio provided remote support, ensuring the connection of all workers via videoconference.
During the assembly, the workers unanimously approved that STAECNON-RJ officially represent the category with full autonomy to act in defense of its interests. This includes the legal prerogative to initiate a strike movement if negotiations do not progress. The decision sends a clear message: the category is united and willing to fight for its rights.
Although negotiations for the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) have already begun, the company has shown resistance to dialogue, hindering progress in the talks. Faced with this stance, the union has taken the matter to court.
Currently, negotiations are in the conciliation phase in court, awaiting the scheduling of the next hearing. The union reaffirmed that it is working intensively to move the agreement forward, using all available legal and mobilization tools.
"The presence of the board in each region and the internet connection show that the union has no borders when it comes to defending workers," stated President Josemar Violante. "With the autonomy approved today, we have the necessary strength to go to the very end, whether in court or at the doors of the units, to guarantee what is rightfully our category's."
