Motorcade in defense of public Cedae mobilizes entities, communities and workers.
Staecnon was present this Monday (March 22nd) at the motorcade in defense of a public Cedae, an event that involved social movements, Sintsama-RJ, Sindágua, community leaders from Cidade de Deus, Vila Kennedy, entities that make up the Forum in defense of water, as well as representatives from Sintaema (São Paulo Sanitation and Water Union).
The unified movement marked World Water Day, drawing the attention of the public, the media, and the relevant authorities to the numerous disadvantages that will befall the population of the state of Rio de Janeiro if Cedae is privatized.
The event began in front of Cedae's headquarters, proceeding through the streets of downtown Rio, passing through Lapa, Glória, and Catete, until reaching Largo do Machado. Several leaders spoke, including Hélio Anomal, president of Staecnon; Humberto Lemos, president of Sintsama-RJ; Ary Girota, president of Sindágua; José Faggian, representative of Sintaema; Jorge Saraiva, director of Senge; Paulo Fárias, president of CTB-RJ; João Xavier representing the Forum; and João Galdino and Fortunato representing the communities present.
“We believe that actions like this need to be intensified. We will fight with all our strength, in whatever way is necessary, whether in the legal field, in political negotiations, in forums and hearings, but mainly in actions that bring the category and society together to participate,” said Hélio Anomal.
